GAGE WALKER | USAC AND POWRI SERIES RACER

I began racing quarter midgets at the age of 8 in 2006. I started at our local home track, Mini Indy. Once I got comfortable with what I was doing I started racing, regionally and nationally. I raced quarter midgets for 6 years, winning multiple track, state, regional, and national championships. In 2010, I got my first USAC Ignite Midget. I raced the whole season in the USAC Young Guns series, winning 1 race. In 2011, I came aboard the Spike Chassis racing team. In the 2012 racing season, I won 3 races, with many top 3’s finishes. I finished 3rd in the 2012 USAC Ignite midget championship. The following year I made my USAC Ignite Dirt Midget debut. 2013 was my first year on dirt in a racecar, and I instantly fell in love with it. I ran the whole series, winning multiple races, and winning the championship. Later that year, Don and Linda O’keefe worked with me on making my Chili Bowl Nationals debut. I had never been in a national midget, but luckily, we fit in one practice race at the end of the 2013 season. Last season, after making my Chili Bowl Nationals debut, I began my 2014 season in our own national dirt midget. We got a late start in the season, but I still got plenty of races in before the season was over. I competed in a fraction of the POWRi schedule, some races at Montpelier Speedway, and as well as a couple USAC races. We used the season to learn and get as much seat time as possible.
