MATT HAGAN | 2-TIME NHRA CHAMPION

Matt Hagan and the Mopar Express Lane Funny Car team had a record-breaking 2017, leaving the competition in the dust as they recorded five of the Top 10 quickest and three of the Top 10 fastest runs in NHRA Funny Car history. Hagan and his team, led by crew chief Dickie Venables and assistant Michael Knudsen, wasted no time putting together a competitive 2017 campaign. During qualifying at the NHRA Winternationals, Hagan powered his Dodge Charger down the track in 3.822-seconds at 335.57-mph, the fastest Funny Car numbers ever recorded at the Auto Club Raceway at Pomona. Qualifying for the pole with his record setting run helped Hagan to drive to victory at the first event of the NHRA season. The Mopar team rode that momentum into the next event on the NHRA tour where Hagan made another trip to the winner’s circle, bringing home the Phoenix Funny Car Wally.
